You are entitled to get your Medicare benefits through Original Medicare Part A and Part B if you qualify for them. These plans will cover the basic hospitalization costs and medical costs. You may not have to pay any premiums for Part A and pay a small amount for Part B. You can also get your Medicare benefits through Medicare Advantage.
Medicare Advantage is sold only by private insurance companies who are authorized to sell these plans. There are many insurance companies who sell these plans, one of them is UnitedHealthcare. The Medicare Advantage plans from UnitedHealthcare are sold under the product name MedicareComplete.These are also the plans endorsed by AARP.
Types of MedicareComplete Plans
MedicareComplete plans works like any other Medicare Advantage plans. They cover the benefits included under Medicare Part A and Part B and also some additional benefits. Some plans may also offer regular benefits combined with prescription drug coverage.MedicareComplete can be of three types –
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)
Members may or may not take services from the network providers. Staying within the network giver better coverage.
Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)
Members have to stay within the network of providers otherwise they won’t get any coverage.
Point of Service (POS)
If members are referred to out-of-network specialists by in-network doctors, they will get some coverage, otherwise these plans work like PPO.
